Woah it has been a hot minute since I wrote a blog post, but hey you know, life can get in the way.
Today though, I’m back at it and ready to show you some great DIY projects.
If you follow me on Instagram you know that the hubs and I are planning our outdoor oasis.
We plan to add a pool, a seating area, outdoor kitchen, and of course some new cute furniture.
While it sounds like we are rolling in the dough, we are not.
Haha, forever balling on a budget.
But we had plans for our new home, and saved to be able to build this oasis.
A way in which we plan on saving some money is to build some of our own furniture!
I’ve searched high and low for some great tutorials and today I wanted to share some with you.
Have fun looking through these tutorials and be sure to share your projects with me!
I love seeing what yall are able to do!
1. Outdoor Day Bed
Shanty 2 Chic is my go to for DIY Furniture plans.
They always have the most through tutorials, and make projects like this look like a breeze!
I mean how could you not want to lay outside in this bad boy all day?
2. Outdoor Storage Bench
Ana White is another one of my favorite builders/DIY Goddess.
Her tutorials are easy to follow along with, and most of her projects do not cost you an arm and a leg to build.
This storage bench will run you around $30-$40 in materials, which is way cheaper than it’s pre-made counterpart!
3. Outdoor Game Table
Lately Outdoor Games have become a huge thing, and I mean why not?
This table is a double hitter!
You can play Tic Tac Toe on one side, then flip that bad boy over to play checkers or chess.
This tutorial also comes with a how-to on how to build the cutest Tic Tac Toe Pieces!
4. Chevron Outdoor Privacy Wall
Not everything for you can DIY for Outdoor is Furniture.
I am obsessed with this wall, and trying so hard to figure out where I can put this beauty at.
Don’t underestimate me yall, I’ll figure it out
This is such a unique piece to add to your outdoor oasis.
It’s also so versatile.
It can be stained or painted to match any decor.
5. Outdoor Table
Every Oasis needs a table, right? I mean where else are you going to eat the burgers, hot dogs, and grilled pizza at?
This table is a sturdy one, and can be made pretty cheap. I’m talking under $100 cheap.
Not too bad for a wooden table!
5. Various Outdoor Games
This is a 5 in 1 tutorial.
Up above you’ll find the outdoor game table, but what about games that get you up and moving?
This tutorial includes Dominoes, Jenga, Yahtzee, Scrabble and Cornhole.
I mean, who doesn’t like to bring their competitive spirit out?
6. Outdoor Storage Box and Bench
Storage is everything is my house. We have a lot of stuff y’all.
If you think you have enough storage, you don’t.
That’s why I’m bringing you another Storage Bench.
This is a great option for a storage box, that also provides extra seating as well.
7. Dog House
You can’t forget about your four legged babies when designing your outdoor oasis. My dogs love to sit outside with us when we are out there, but with the Texas Heat sometimes they could use some shade.
This dog house provides everything your sweet little four legged could need!
8. Outdoor Convertible Coffee Table
Alright yall, you know when you have a cool backyard people are going to want to come over. Seating is a must have when you have a backyard oasis. Convertible Furniture is always a great thing, and outdoor furniture is no exception.
This project will give you a table as well as extra seating.
9. Outdoor Buffet
If you plan on cooking outside then you’re going to need somewhere to prep your food…. or store the adult beverages. Which ever floats your boat.
This buffet gives you that extra space to display food, prep, and store condiments. It will be the perfect addition to your backyard area!
10. Porch Swing
Last but not least, every Southerner needs a good porch swing. Actually everybody needs a good porch swing.
But sometimes those bad boys do not come cheap. You also don’t want to sacrifice quality, because honestly, who wants to fall out of their own porch swing?
Building this with high quality wood will save you money and you bottom from hitting the ground!
That wraps up my favorite outdoor DIY projects for the outdoor.
